AudioTrak Prodigy Cube - USB Hi-fidelity Goodness..
AudioTrak Japan now has a new soundcard - connected by USB no less for ease of use. Featuring a TENOR chipset and Wolfson WM8776 DACs, the Prodigy Cube is capable of supporting up to 24bit/ 96KHz audio sterams. It also supports passing Dolby Digital/ DTS signals through its digital outputs (Coaxial, TOSLINK) as well. Socketed Burr Brown OPA2134 opamps are also used to allow the Cube to drive no less than 2 headphones at once. I can see some people starting to delight at the ability to roll these with ease! =)
Other goodies include the use of Sanyo OSCON, WIMA film and SamYoung low-ESR capacitors. It seems the software included with the unit will also allow BitPerfect copies of audio being played back via the Cube making it easier to make high-quality back-ups of their music.
